Matt Banwart Headlines

Born in Florida, raised in Iowa, and currently residing in the city of Chicago. Matt’s comedy is the result of being raised by two strict rural parents and growing up in the digital age.

Currently, Matt is the host of the Late Night Review and Late Night 5 Youtube series and co-hosts the live Roast Battle Chicago show, at the Lincoln Lodge. and can be found regularly working at the comedy clubs in Chicago.

Matt developed a following on TikTok for roasting all 50 states. Matt He was recently in the Floodwater Comedy Festival, Maddison Comedy Week, Red Eye Comedy Festival, and the Beast Village Comedy Festival. He has performed in thousands of shows from colleges, corporate events, charities, and (of course) comedy clubs.

Matt has opened for Chris Kattan, Dan St. Germain, Jeremiah Watkins, and Heywood Banks.

Matt’s stand up has been featured on Madison Comedy Week, Floodwater Comedy Festival, and the Redeye Comedy Festival. Apart from stand up comedy, he is a 3x Des Moines Improv Comedy Death Match Champion.

Many moons ago Matt was President of his college’s Stand Up Comedy Club, which he registered as a sorority. Marking Matt as Iowa State University’s first-ever male sorority president. With his sorority sisters, he hosted weekly workshops that introduced students to standup comedy by bringing in guests and producing student showcases. Matt is very proud of this, but at the same time, there is a reason why it’s at the bottom of this list.
